Lunchbox Links - Alan Anderson, this Bizarre NBA season, Rasual Butler and More.

With no games tonight this will be a "preview-free" edition of Lunchbox Links.

Instead, how about a little love for Alan Anderson, whose play since being called up from the NBA's Developmental League, may earn him a spot with the Raptors next season. However for Anderson, he's not thinking that far ahead, taking it a day at a time.

The Raptors are in Detroit to face the Pistons Sunday but have they been chillin in South Beach since their loss in Miami on Wednesday night? Not under Dwane Casey's watch. Casey has been working the troops each day, continually trying to get this club to improve even as the season's final days are near. One of the things he's working on? Tightening up that zone defence.

Speaking of Detroit, Yahoo! Sports' "Ball Don't Lie" touches on the Pistons' recent incredibly up and down performances, a product of this ridiculously compressed NBA season. It's one that Basketball Prospectus looks at by way of injuries over the course of this season versus past ones.

Of course an edition of Lunchbox Links this season wouldn't be complete without some tanking talk, and Canada.com looks ahead to the Raptors' upcoming NBA draft.

And finally, maybe Rasual Butler wasn't so bad? Should Casey have simply ordered him to stand in the corner and shoot 3's all game?
