In the spirit of LeBron James' "Decision," all five underclassmen from the Kentucky Wildcats' championship team moments ago announced on ESPN that they would be heading to the NBA next season.
Or attempting to.
We know that Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd Gilchrist and Terrence Jones are locks, but the other two? Marquis Teague looks to have NBA upside but a deep draft could keep him out of the first round. And while Doron Lamb is a great shooter, he hardly projects as a difference maker at the next level at this point in his career.
But off they go, joined likely by a sixth member of the Wilcats, Senior Darius Miller.
For the Toronto Raptors, it's the top two I'd like to see in Raptors' red next season, something I'm betting Bryan Colangelo would love to see as well. Toronto's recent win streak though may have eliminated them from grabbing either option, and therefore it's not out of the question that the Raps end up moving around in the draft, acquiring an additional pick or two, and therefore making TO a legitimate destinations for a player like Teague (Raps need a future PG) or Lamb (Raps need a shooting guard who can, you know, shoot.)
But to me, it's Davis/MKG or bust. After those two, there are only a handful of players that I think Toronto should consider, so again, let's keep that tank rolling.
