Magic Take it to the Raptors 117-101 (Rapid Recap)

-The Toronto Raptors found themselves down early, and despite an 18 to 4 run to close the first quarter, were unable to catch up with the Orlando Magic who shot the lights out from beyond the arc. The Orlando Magic began the game by making three-pointers and really never stopped on their way to an impressive total of 15.

-Most alarming for Raptors fans has to be the power forward matchup that saw Ryan Anderson outplay Andrea Bargnani in just about every way possible. Anderson finished with six rebounds and 28 points, including a monstrous 8 of 13 shooting from beyond the arc. Bargnani on the other hand, managed just three rebounds and eight points, making just 3 of his 11 shots from the floor and looked completely out of synch from the first quarter onward.

-Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson were also big for the Magic. Howard finished with 23 points and ten rebounds and Nelson added 18 points and 7 assists.

-Bright spots were few and far between on this night for the Raptors; however the play of Gary Forbes and Linas Klieza on the offensive end of the floor stood out. Forbes finished with a team-high 21 points and Kleiza added 18 off of the bench.

-Jerryd Bayless gave it a go but played only 10 minutes before reaggravating his hip injury and was forced to leave the game.

- The Raptor loss tonight combined with the Pistons win means the Raptors are now a game and a half up on the Pistons for the 5th worst record in the NBA. And the Tank keeps on rolling...
