The incredible story of the 1992 Lithuanian basketball team, whose athletes struggled under Soviet rule, became symbols of Lithuania's independence movement, and - with help from the Grateful Dead - triumphed at the Barcelona Olympics.

When everyone plays themselves its usually a documentary and I doubt he will be eligible for the Best Actor category.
You Missed The Whole Point
From all the reviews this is an incredible documentary. Read the reviews if you haven’t. What is interesting about this documentary is that it is about Lithuania and Russia during the period that Lithuania broke away from Russia. I am not even sure Jonas was born yet.
The fact that the maker of the documentary choose to put him in this along with the all time greats of Lithuanian basketball is one heck of a compliment to Jonas and what he means to Lithuania.
Will this have a chance at an academy award? I haven’t got a clue but the movie is a great story about Lithuania, basketball and human freedom from tyranny.
