Another Basketball Fallacy Being Pushed at RaptorHQ
Last season it was the rebounding is the most important fallacy. Now we have some pushing that Center is most important position which is another basketball fallacy. Maybe years ago that was true but now the most important positions at on the perimeter.
Lets look at the Centers for this season's top teams
1. Chicago - Joakim Noah Comment: Good but not better than or more important than Rose
2. Miami - Joel Anthony
3. Oklahoma City - Kendrick Perkins
4. San Antonia - Dejuan Blair
5. Los Angeles Clippers - DeAndre Jordan
6. Philadelphia - Spencer Hawes
7. Atlanta - Zaza Pachulla - Horford has been out all season
8. Dallas - Spencer Haywood
10. Orlando - Dwight Howard
So it isn't until you get to the 10th best team in the league that you a team whose best player is a Center

I think you mean brendan haywood
why do you post so many useless posts
who is "pusing"
“Center is most important position which is another basketball fallacy”?
And since when has the importance of rebounding a fallacy?
Do you get real life confused with your dream world?

I Disproved The Rebounding Fallacy Last Season
In case you forgot there were too many discussions to even count on the importance of rebounding and in fact how it was the most important stat in basketball. That meme still shows up from time to time over here with comments about the stats from Wages of Win Journal. Their Wins Produced number is heavily weighted in favor of rebounding over ever other stat.
Shooting is in fact the most important stat in basketball, not rebounding. I am not going into the whole discussion again but the fact is if you can’t put the ball in the basket no matter how many shots you get you ain’t going to win.
There are a number of posters here claiming that Anthony Davis is the best player in the league and that he is a franchise player. Therefore he should be drafted #1. At least one other poster said today that Center is the most important position.
The reality is that Anthony Davis will not become a franchise player. He is being over hyped to death by ESPN. If I wanted a PF in this years draft I would take
Sullinger and Perry Jones III before taking Anthony Davis. I might even take John Henson before Anthony Davis. Davis game consists of Dunks and Blocks. Sounds like Hasheem Thabeet to me though I do think Davis will become a better NBA player than Thabeet. Then again that is not saying very much.
Remember another KY center everyone loved. A guy named Daniel Orton. Right.
um again
rebounding isn’t the “most important stat” in wins produced. Shooting in fact IS the most influential stat in wins produced. But for about the 10th time you’ve ignored it
Talk about statements of fallacy.
Not believing Anthony Davis will be a franchise player is fine… but he is also not regarded as a C. And 1 person saying C is the most important player does not mean “RaptorsHQ” is pushing the idea

Let's take a longer view
No matter in which era you examine the NBA, you find a top centre who wins championships. From Big George Mikan, to the Wilt-Russell battles of the 60s, to Kareem’s sky hook, to Robert Parish & Hakeem, to Shaq Diesel – dominant centres abound. We may be in a bit of a trough currently, but I don’t think that will last.

First of all...
comparing davis to daniel orton is the dumbest thing ive ever heard. davis WILL be a franchise player i guarantee that. If he wasnt on kentucky where the scoring is spread out you would see him dominate. Second of all perry jones is going to be a small forward in the nba not a power forward and if you took sullinger over davis as the raptors gm i would drive to toronto and beat the crap out of you. hasheem thabeet wasnt even close to as good as davis. the next kevin garnett in the making right here
I just want a "best" player
I don’t care what position he plays. I would adjust my team to fit. Orlando plays a certain style because their best player is a C. Miami’s C is pretty limited in skills, but he fits their system. Both teams can win (although Orlando has started that slide to mediocrity, but they were championship contenders only a few short years ago).
Buddah
Stop with the drugs…
Your opening sentence doesn’t even make sense.
