Andrea Bargnani is out indefinitely with torn ligaments in his right elbow, adding just a little more pain to what's been a woeful season so far for the Raptors.

Nothing has come easily this year for the Toronto Raptors, and things got a whole lot harder Wednesday night when they learned that big man Andrea Bargnani will be out indefinitely with torn ligaments in his right elbow, according to Eric Koreen of the National Post.

Koreen speculated that Bargnani could miss one to two months of action. Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports added that Bargnani has a strained right wrist.

Bargnani, the No.1 overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, is second on the team in scoring, averaging 16 points per game in 33 minutes. The Raptors (4-19) could ill-afford to lose their center, who played just eight minutes Monday night against the Portland Trail Blazers before the injury.

The Raptors have lost six straight games, including one against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday in which they mustered just 88 points without Bargnani. Toronto is back on the court Friday night at home against the Dallas Mavericks.
