Raptors Final Score: Raptors Choke Again, Lose to Pistons 91 - 90

Andrea Bargnani had his best game of the season but he didn't get much help as the Raptors gave yet another one away in the final minutes.

Yep, it happened again.

We could see it coming and indeed, the Toronto Raptors let another winnable game, their third straight in fact, slip through their fingers in a 91 to 90 loss tonight to the Detroit Pistons.

It's hard to know where to even start with this one as the usual suspect, Andrea Bargnani, had his best game of the season with 34 points on 13 of 20 shooting, to go with five rebounds, four assists a steal and a block for good measure. He was vocal all night, hustled on D and yet the team still lost.

DeMar DeRozan, Linas Kleiza and Terrence Ross went a combined 4 of 22 so that didn't help.

Jose Calderon took only two shots.

Kyle Lowry had 19 points but was 6 of 17 from the field, missed some big free-throws down the stretch, and made a few questionable decisions offensively with the game on the line.

And the Raps gave up 15 offensive rebounds, EIGHT of these to Andre Drummond who absolutely killed the Raps inside down the stretch. He was and Greg Monroe combined for 32 points and 24 rebounds and the Pistons' 52 points in the paint were the main difference in this one. The Raps had no answer, couldn't keep Detroit off the glass, and in the end, Brandon Knight split the Raptors D, drove to the hoop for the easy lay-up, and just like that, a beautiful 3 and 10 record to start the season.

Things don't get any easier either with a deathly trifecta of San Antonio, Houston and Memphis up next.
