As you all should know, the NBL Canada is starting up its first season of roundball this fall and today is the day that roster hopefuls are looking to make an impression. The free agent Draft camp will be at Seneca College in Toronto both Saturday and Sunday with the Draft to be held Sunday evening at the Rogers Center. Though the talent will likely not best any team of NBA 12th men just yet, there should be a lot of guys hungry for a shot at a pro contract. Looking over the list of pontential Draftees, I didn't see many easily recognizable American names but I did see a lot of Canadian ones that I haven't heard of in a while, coupled with me thinking that this will be a league full small, quick dudes, has me really eager to get this seaosn started right now. Today is gonna be a big day for the league and basketball in Canada in general.
