Jonas continues FIBA dominance with brilliant game against USA

Jonas has been on fire all tournament in the FIBA U19 Championships, but this latest game was special because of the competition. Lithuania went against Team USA in a matchup of the two tournament favorites. Team USA is made up of great NCAA players, led by NCAA champion Jeremy Lamb and potential lottery pick PF Patrick Young. So one could consider this a true test of Jonas against elite NCAA competition. Jonas rose to the occasion and delivered:

30 pts 15 rbds and 4blks, shooting 11/20 FG and 8/10 FT.

Further, he made several key buckets and free throws down the stretch to force the game to overtime, where eventually Lituania succumbed to the Americans. Still, a very impressive showing for Lithuania as they were playing without their starting PG who was injured in their prior game.

This game should further silence any doubters as Jonas delivered bigtime against great NCAA talent. If you're not a doubter like me, performances like this just make you even more ecstatic with the pick. One has to think that if Jonas played in the NCAA this past year he would have been an overwhelming #1 pick. Really looking forward to Jonas continuing his fantastic play in the quarterfinals.
