Exactly one month to the day that he made Glen Silvestri a household name among Toronto Raptor fans, the Toronto Star's Dave Feschuk provides an update on Bryan Colangelo's contract status. Is anyone else surprised to learn about the connection between Silvestri and assistant GM Marc Eversley?
Guess who provided his team with the least overall production, according to Ian Levy of Hickory High? He even got the award renamed in his honor!
Derrick Williams of the Arizona Wildcats is entering the draft... and will hopefully be selected by the Raptors.
Ed Davis is going to be 15 or 20 pounds heavier next season, according to his dad.
This list of the NBA's top defenders might not include any Raptors, but it certainly features a few guys who should be free agent targets in the offseason. I'm looking at you DeAndre Jordan, Tyson Chandler and Nene Hilario.
What would the Internet be without fake trades? NBeh's Devin Dignam has a couple of fake trade proposals involving the Raptors and Utah Jazz.
Don't sweat a potential NBA lockout. Toronto will have another pro sports team for you to, ummmm, cheer on.
Lil' Wayne is likely the first rapper ever to wear a women's college basketball jersey in public. Nice work, Weezy.

The Andrea Bargnani Award (Formerly the Darius Songaila Award)–
The Andrea Bargnani Award (Formerly the Darius Songaila Award)– This award goes to the player who has provided his team with the least overall production. I use Wins Produced to determine the winner here. (Minimum 500 minutes)
Toronto’s Andrea Bargnani has been the favorite all season, and in the end, he did not disappoint. With a WP48 of -0.122 he’s "contributed" -6.0 wins in 2,353 minutes. As promised to several disgruntled Raptor fans, this award has now been renamed The Andrea Bargnani Award.
Congratulations to all the winners, it was a wonderful season of folly and futility!

That’s too funny and sad at the same time

To be expected
Wins produced has its’ flaws – and that’s discussed here ad nausea. This is only one of many posts that will pick apart players, as someone needs to take the shit for this season. And we all know who that will be.

You Are Such A Bargnani Lover Boy
It is so obvious.
I might be a big Amir fan but from posts it is pretty clear that I try and be objective. See my fan post “Grading The Raptors 2010-11 Performance”
Try and show some objectivity as much as it might hurt.
Hilarious
It’s not like Bargnani was middle of the pack in the NBA or in the bottom third… H
Oops
Meant to say -
It’s not like Bargnani was middle of te pack in the NBA or the bottom third… He provided his team the least overall production in the ENTIRE league. Maybe that has something to do with why this season was so terrible. I would offer that if you run your offense and give a starting position to the LEAST PRODUCTIVE PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE your TRYING to loose 60 games.
Rapthoseleafs
I’ve heard you say this many times (ie. Wins produced has flaws)… and I both disagree and agree with you.
However what would be nice is if you could explain what those flaws are….. because just saying it means nothing.
“someone needs to take the shit for this season”
yep and thats BC. Bargnani is just one of the reasons BC should take shit for this season.

I checked out the website on your link above.
As far as I could see the author of the website does not provide a complete database of all players and their detailed numbers from which he draws his conclusions.
He also does not provide links to sites with supporting details to his conclusions.
No transparency.
While his numbers may be entirely accurate personally I wouldn’t give them the light of day because all he posts are articles with some graphs, numbers and formulas but shows absolutely no detailed numbers to support for this conclusions.
Johnson Thriving in Toronto
This article is up on Amir’s website. See below for link
I won’t post the entire article but just the following and readers can make of it what they will.
Johnson Thriving in Toronto
By Scott Stanchak, NBA.com
It’s impossible to know where Amir Johnson would be today had he chosen a college career over the NBA. Every now and then though, even he wonders where he’d been in life. That decision, however, is one no 18-year-old will ever have to make again……
"He’s one of the best interior defenders in the NBA" Triano said. "He brings a great attitude and great energy every time he’s on the floor."

Amir's Exact Interview - Confusing Answers
Question: What pieces do the Raptors need to get better
Amir: I don’t think we need to add pieces, we just need to stay together as a group.
Question: Do you think Ed and you can continue to get better together as the Raptors two Bigs?
Amir: We can play together well as two #4, however we could use a big like Howard or KG.
Say what?
We don’t need to add any pieces but we could use a big like Howarad or KG.
Who goofed I got to know
Amir goofed.

Top 3 picks
Irving
Williams
Barnes
Raptors need one of them, not sure which one, but all 3 are winners.
