Raptors' Medical Staff Questioned by European Media
Well this is interesting. Apparently there's some controversy brewing in the European media over the Toronto Raptors' handling of Linas Kleiza's injury. From TrueHoop blog, "BallIn Europe.com:" Talk Basket today maintains, through a couple of sources well-placed with the Raps, that Kleiza’s extended time on the disabled list is due almost entirely to the incompetence of the team’s medical staff who reportedly did not listen to their Lithuanian star as he complained of injury. Woah. And just when this season didn't seem to be able to get any worse. Greece's Sport24 apparently broke the story, which was later translated by Talk Basket. Is there any truth to these allegations (and others that extend back as far as Jorge Garbajosa?) Hard to say at face value, although with the myriad of injuries that the team has been dealing with this season, you can bet inquiries will indeed be made.
