The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Dec. 5

Today is a light Monday but we still have some great games for you including a little known Titan trying to help his team weather a Red Storm on the night that they dedicate the court to Dick Vitale ...

Marquee Match Up

Remember that you can find the full list of players playing in Division 1 right here.

7:00pm St. John’s @ Detroit

This should be an interesting game. Both schools are playing without some key components that were supposed to be in their lineups. For Detroit that means monster big man Eli Holman and his absence has drastically changed the look of the team that was the front runner for the Horizon League championship. All this has meant is that everyone else has to pick up the slack and Jason Calliste is one of those players. With the Titans having to be a more perimeter oriented team, he’ll have to play a larger role on both ends. Calliste is a capable scorer and he’s long and quick on D and with the team losing senior big man Nick Minnerath also recently to injury, Jason will have to shoulder more load. He’s been getting shots in games but it’s been a little inconsistent at making them so that will need to change in this game (I think) if victory is to be had. His season high has been 19 points to this point and as long as the shots fall, he could be a deciding factor in this contest. The two good things about tonight’s matchup are that the Titans are at home and the Red Storm are equally perimeter oriented with a short bench. This should be a very fast, up-and-down game and be exciting to watch.

And the rest of the men are playing here …

7:00pm Long Island @ Lafayette

7:00pm Elon @ UNC Greensboro

7:30pm Rio Grande @ Coppin State

And here is where all the ladies are playing today …

5:30pm Delaware State @ Howard

7:00pm Yale @ Delaware

7:00pm St. Francis (NY) @ Mount St. Mary’s

7:00pm Ohio @ Cleveland State – Takima Keane, sister to former Big Ten Player of the Year Kalisha at Michigan State, is a key part of the Cleveland State offense averaging 11.3 points per game. She’s a team best 2.2 threes per outing also. She’s had some big games so far this season and she could have one here.

7:00pm Loyola (MD) @ Lehigh

7:00pm Wagner @ Long Island

7:00pm Fairleigh Dickinson @ Robert Morris – Canadians Desiree Crawford and Mariah Nunes have started the last five games for Fairleigh Dickinson and are have seen their minutes increase. They are looking like they could be featured more in the scheme for the Knights and this could be game where they could have breakouts.
