The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Dec. 14

Tonight is another relatively light night in NC-Double-Eh action but the Canadian quintet at New Mexico State is in action in a potential blowout game which means lots of action for everyone. Find out where everyone else is playing all over right here ...

9:00pm West New Mexico @ New Mexico State

New Mexico State is riding a three game losing streak and have lost four of their last five games but it’s actually not as bad as it seems. The Aggies have lost all their games in single digits and the losses are to Arizona (by seven), UTEP (by four) and to Southern Mississippi twice (first by eight and then by seven). These are decent teams with very good RPIs so it could be worse. Also on the upside is that the pair of Hernst Laroche and Christian Kabongo are playing very well. Kabongo has been the story, in my eyes, on this team having gone from surprise story to potential breakout star this year. Before the loss to UTEP on Sunday, he was on a six game streak where he scored in double digits but he’s still the team’s second leading scorer and now assist man also. Laroche has been his usual steady self all season and broke out for a season high 16 points in the loss to UTEP Sunday. These two guys, along with Wendell McKines, should be able to go to work tonight. West New Mexico shouldn’t be the toughest opponent they face this season so expect some big numbers from Laroche and Kabongo as well as workman guard Tyrone Watson. Also, if this is a blowout situation, look for freshman Daniel Mullings to get lots of burn and potentially go off.

And here is where the rest of the men are playing today …

3:00pm Iona @ Richmond

7:00pm Long Island @ Norfolk State

7:00pm Princeton @ Rider

7:30pm Towson @ Coppin State

8:00om Louisiana College @ Rice– After a quiet stretch to end November, Rice’s Dylan Ennis had a 14 point, 4 rebound, 3 assist and 2 steal game to open up December against St. Thomas of Texas. It’s been ten days since the Owls have played a game so this could be one of those games that is either a blowout or a dogfight. Either way, look for Ennis to factor to some degree here.

8:00pm Bethune-Cookman @ Baylor

9:05pm Denver @ Northern Colorado– Little known Emmanuel Addo from Northern Colorado has been a pleasant surprise for us watching the Canucks down south. He’s Bears’ leading rebounder and third leading scorer in just over 21 minutes a game. In his last game against Johnson and Wales of Denver, he had his first career double-double going for 17 points and 10 rebounds, both career highs. Let’s see what he can do against Denver.

And here is where the ladies are playing today …

12:00pm Arkansas-Pine Bluff @ Texas

1:00pm Morgan State @ Northwestern– Northwestern’s Karly Roser is having a great freshman season and continues to be one of the bright spots on a 7-1 team. She’s currently ranked in the top three in the Big Ten Conference in assists (2nd) and steals (3rd) and in her last three games she’s averaging 8.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 6.7 dimes and 3 steals.

7:00pm Louisville @ Cincinnati

7:00pm Stony Brook @ Fairleigh Dickinson

7:00pm Akron @ Duquesne– The reigning Atlantic 10 Conference player of the week Wumi Agunbiade averaged 17.5 points and 7 rebounds in her team’s games last week, which they won incidentally. This contest against Akron could be a good one to catch Wumi in action.

7:00pm McNeese State @ Texas Southern

9:00pm Minnesota @ Denver
