Media Day Monday - Soliciting More of Your Questions!
We've got Media Day coming on Monday, so expect us to be there to have our own brand of unique coverage!
What we'd like to do is to give you, our readers, a chance to give us some questions to ask the players, management, and coaches when we have the chance. We'll try and get through as many as possible, but please keep in mind that the media scrums will take care a lot of the general "lockout" questions.
We're expecting a pretty full house on Monday and even newly acquired players like Rasual Butler should be on hand.
Humourous questions are always welcome!

Adding veterans will help Raptors
According to the above linked article
Casey said Amir Johnson skipped the final 30 minutes because his surgically repaired ankle was a little sore, but Johnson came out to hoist up some jumpers while other players were being interviewed.
Casey said sophomore Ed Davis will strictly man the power forward position (likely with Andrea Bargnani starting there), while the more experienced and heavier Amir Johnson will see time at both power forward and centre.
Gray, Jamaal Magloire and Solomon Alabi are the other options in the middle.
"We want to make sure we see him and give him quality looks at the four position," Casey said of Davis.
"Really, it’s not fair to him to go against Dwight Howard, (Brook) Lopez, some of the bigs we have to go up against.
So many
Ask Andrea how many long 2’s he has heaved over the extended offseason.
Ask Casey whats the most losses he has ever had as a coach in a season. Can he swear in Italian?
And I actually feel good about this team – they are right where I want them too be
There Will Be Plenty of Minutes To Go Around
IMO this season will be the make or break season for DeMar and Andrea in the Raptors future. As of now their only value is in scoring but scorers can be replaced a lot easier than solid night in and night out defenders.
For Coach Casey:
“As you’ve said yourself that you are a believer in advanced stats, we would have to assume that you took some time in this lockout exteded offseason to review the Raptors roster from a statistical perspective in detail. Add to this that you’ve also stated that you have used the lockout to review lots of game tape. After all of this review, what are your thoughts on Andrea Bargnani, statistically one of the worst players in the NBA (i.e. ”http://wagesofwins.com/wins-produced/wins-produced-2011/)" target="_blank">http://wagesofwins.com/wins-produced/wins-produced-2011/)
Follow up questions, will you be able to hold Bargnani accountable for his terrible play, as this has not happened here in the past?
For a less specific question, you could ask him what sort of public stats he considers to be good tools – I know most teams have their own tracking mechanisms, but to know which advanced stats he endorses would give us a better way to measure whether he is really considering them with respect to Bargnani and other players’ playing time.

For Coach Dwayne:
Which Raptors player is most likely to transform into a basketball playing Night Elf Mohawk this season? If not yourself?

Up in the skyscrape, me and my apes, bake cakes.
We got some of the advanced stats in… That’s actually where Franchise got a lot of his shots in with Colangelo. Adam will have more of it later

Did you get a chance to interview Casey?

Too Late Now
But I would’ve wanted to ask Coach Casey: “You’re really not gonna start Bargnani over Ed or Amir, are you?”
