The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Nov. 27

Today we have a packed Sunday of ball to end the American Thanksgiving weekend and best of all we have a feature game of a possible NBA Draftee in the evening for you to wind down with ...

Star-divide

Marquee Match Up

6:00pm St. Bonaventure @ Virginia Tech – This is without a doubt a huge game for Andrew Nicholson.  He’ll be facing a team that though may be lacking a high major star will be gearing up to stop him with legit athletes at all positions.  I would think that Cleveland State had played him the toughest so far but he still managed to put up 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks in 34 minutes before fouling out.  I would expect that the same is definitely possible against the Hokies.  Now Virginia Tech is likely still smarting from that near upset of Syracuse in the Garden this week and they are likely looking to smack the Bonnies around.  Whatever the case, Nicholson will need to be big here.  As a side note, Matthew Wright started off hot and has seemed to level off.  This could be his game to blow up with all the collapsing on Nicholson, and Chris Johnson too.

And here are where the rest of the men are playing today …

11:30am Texas Tech vs. Wake Forest – Why the hell are these two teams playing so early on a Sunday?  Anyway, Ty Nurse got back on track Friday by dropping 19 points against a tough DePaul team the six point loss means that they can compete with their less than spectacular lineup and he as their leader.  If he can do that damage against the Blue Demons I would think that it can happen against a Wake Forest team that’s seen better days.

12:00pm Michigan State @ Eastern Michigan

2:00pm DePaul vs. Arizona State

2:00pm Holy Cross @ Maine – After a nine day layoff, Justin Edwards is back to play against Holy Cross.  He’s started off with a bang and I’m wondering if he’ll have to get back into a flow after being off for so long.  Expect him to get lots of touches.

2:30pm Cleveland State @ Rhode Island

3:00pm American @ Cornell

3:00pm Binghamton @ Missouri

4:00pm Tennessee-Martin @ UAB

4:00pm Eastern Kentucky @ Norfolk State

4:30pm Morehead State @ BucknellBryson Johnson broke out of his shooting slump yesterday and dropped 27 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field.  All the shots were from threeland and in 24 minutes.  I wonder what he’ll do for an encore.

5:00pm Wilberforce @ Tennessee Tech

5:00pm Robert Morris @ Pitt – If you didn’t know, Khem Birch had a double-double in his first start for Pitt going for 15 points and 10 boards while also sending back 3 shots. I would expect him to start again today and if Robert Morris is anything like Penn, maybe even another big game for himself too.

6:30pm Villanova vs. Santa Clara

7:00pm Minnesota @ Dayton

And here is where the ladies are playing today …

1:00pm Mississippi Valley State @ Kentucky

1:00pm Bryant @ Boston College

2:00pm Nebraska @ Florida State

2:00pm Southern Utah @ New Mexico State

2:00pm Eastern Michigan @ Canisius – I’m still high on Jamie Ruttle since she’s starting and all and she has four Canadian teammates.

2:00pm Monmouth @ Lafayette

2:00pm Cornell @ Cleveland State

2:00pm Fairleigh Dickinson vs. Buffalo

2:00pm Davidson @ Duquesne – Duquesne’s Wumi Agunbiade is getting more touches and is getting better I think but her defense and rebounding are still there. Worth a watch.

2:00pm Howard @ Loyola (MD)

2:30pm UC Irvine vs. Weber State

3:00pm DePaul @ Northwestern – Karly Roser is starting as a freshman at the point for Northwestern and is playing well.

4:00pm UC Riverside @ Boise State

4:00pm Lehigh @ Wagner

5:00pm UC Santa Barbara @ Northern Colorado

5:00pm Montana @ Portland

10:00pm Texas @ Hawaii

Another nice one or Khem

Kid can produce when given minutes. No locking him up any longer. 6 blocks. Nice.
