I hope that Olu Ashaolu will keep cranking out the double-doubles next year... I wonder if he can play SF in the NBA? I guess time will tell...
'....as a child, I dreamt of being a baseball.'
I'm a little leery about that right now ...
I think Olu is a classic tweener type at the NBA level. I he can likely defend the three but I’m not sure if he has true three skills on the perimeter. I think that his incredible rebounding ability may have helped to stunt his developement as a wing in college at Louisiana Tech. He was asked to be more on the low block I think and watching him last season when they played Texas it seemed evident they needed him there more than anywhere else. This season will be huge for him in that respect. He was a wing player in high school but can he compete in the Pac-12 at that position? I hope he can. It will only serve to open up more pro options for him. I can’t see him being a Jason Maxiell type in the NBA.
