Great round-up

Excellent articles today.

Pangos is a man playing with boys. What a week-end for him.

Christian Can Ball! he looks like a real quality player. love his jump shot and finishing moves. A little smoother, less flashy than his brother. His jump shot looks way better than Myck’s or Cory’s.

Went to watch the St Mike’s tourney this weekend and was very impressed. Read an article from Wisconsin this week-end, complaining about 7 guys leaving the State to play Prep. They are worried about how that’s going to affect the quality of their high school bball. According to Flagrant we have 60 guys in the GTA playing prep in the States. And we still have guys like Pangos, Wiggin’s and Notice playing top ball here. Can you imagine the quality of OFSSA with all those guys still here?

I know ...

I think that trend may be reversing in the near future but only slightly. The prep school route is the Golden Road that people talk about it will always be there. With guys like Pangos and Notice sticking around and getting a lot of looks I’m hoping that it will get better.

FYI, expect Wiggins to leave for prep shortly. The word it that he’s going for his last two years.

Why did Wiggin's return?

Was he just too young or a falling out with Mr. Russell?

Don't know ...

I think he was always going to go but he may have wanted to stay a play at Vaughan a little longer. It’s supposed to be fun playing this game in high school even for the major talents. He would be getting individualized training and support here from Canada Basketball like how Pangos has been getting if he stays but I don’t know if that would be enough to keep him here.
