More From Raptors' Media Day - Linas Kleiza Speaks
The Raptors sure made it tougher with their podium setup, but we found a way to get you some exclusive interviews that you won't find anywhere else.
Maurizio Gherardini suggested that Linas Kleiza could become a potential leader and we've got a good first look at one of our big off season acquisitions. Kleiza talks about his role and comfort level playing different positions. One thing is for sure, Kleiza exudes a kind of confidence that we don't normally see.
Once again, another exclusive one on one interview from yesterday's media day.

Nice interview
Good to see he is happy to be in Toronto and eager to improve.
Great stuff all around
Really, days like today are why sites like the HQ are absolutely killing old media. I mean, I know nothing about old media, but I think it’s safe to assume something like this could never happen at, say, the Globe, due to editorial needs. Plus, I know Michael Grange loves bball, but how can a newspaper compete with 3 guys who are basically doing it for free AND doing it better? They can’t, obviously. And, while I’m off on this little tangent, that’s why I think some smart person is going to convert a newspaper into an outlet for the blogosphere and hire the best, most passionate writers on an ad-hoc, as-needed, freelance-based with beat writers such as the HQ pounding the turf on a daily basis.
Needless to say, keep up the great work! Oh, and also, Linas Kleiza’s english completely through me for a loop, totally did not expect him to sound like that.
Thanks for all the praise. A lot of the thanks has to go to the Raptors for allowing us in there yet again this year.

Thanks so much, comments like that mean a ton to the team since we do this for the readers and fans beyond anything or anyone else.
And I agree on your point regarding the newspaper evolution. In fact, it was one of the reasons I grabbed Scott Carefoot for an interview because it indeed is the way the “traditional media” is going to have to move.
Also…sadly Grange is off the basketball beat. Talked to Bruce Arthur at Media Day and he confirmed it. Also, Bruce is doing less ball this year too, so unfortunately my two favourite “traditional media” voices won’t be as loud this year regarding the team.
