Poll: Will Raps HQ hate the next transaction?
Things around here become so predictable, I`m curious if anyone else feels the same? I`d wager that no matter what the next transaction will be, there will be some reference to how BC screwed up in the last 4 years, there`s no faith in him and call for his dismissal.
In reality I`m saddened. If I wanted to read Feschuk or Jeff Blair, well.. I`d go read them. But what lead me to even read these blogs to begin with, that it provided some level of analysis vs what those mainstream chumps did. They make a living trying to be controversial and be a hater. It got lame... and sadly so is this.
What do you think?

I have a problem with this post
Do you know what else is predictable? The outcome of the Raptors season every year.
If it’s silver plated turds you desire, then stop reading. Douglas Smith has a heavy dose of them every morning. I usually read his blog and become a little irritated, but I don’t post 20 comments complaining about a journalist’s opinion when I chose to read the blog in the first place.
Blog
Blogs are interactive and I think that any comment is read and taken on board by Franchise, Howland, Defensive Stance and Viscious D. I have challenged their negative directly several times and have recieved thoughtful replies. However, I do have to agree with Ustation on this one, the years of losing have taken their toll and the overlying negative attitude around here is painful. It didn’t used to be so negative, and it isn’t like the Raps just started losing. I guess we will just have to wait for some pleasant surprises this year to change the tone around here.

In general, most of the moves are panned because they are bad moves/lateral moves and even some of the successful ones are merely minimizing a mistake (Barbosa for Turkoglu, even though nothing is preferable to having Barbosa at 7m per). And they also get taken by me with the context that we likely have zero future perennial all-stars on the roster (this means no one-time fluke all-stars count). Also consider this: A slight upgrade on the Lakers can be the difference between a title and being runner-up. A slight upgrade on the Raptors means another win or two in the regular season followed by the same inevitable first round massacre. Committing money to adding a few wins now is actually counter-productive as our draft position will leave us with less of a chance to grab the few high impact players which generally go early in a draft. This leads us into low-lottery limbo, generally an undesirable location for NBA franchises.
As someone had just brought it up in the other thread, I did enjoy the moves of Delfino + Ukic for Johnson + Weems at the time (assuming very little of Weems other than a handful of dunks), as well as George for Belinelli. Kind of like trading Araujo for Humphries. The gain was giving up dead cap space for some usable young talent with a little promise. Had I been a Buck/Warrior fan, I would have rightfully slagged those GMs just as hard for those as I do our GM for a job poorly done. But while both deals would be considered good moves for us, it is realistic (even after a promising year from Weems) that none of these guys may be real difference-makers for the Toronto Raptors in the long-run. And also consider that we had committed to keeping Bosh for the season in the hopes of resigning him, but didn’t manage to secure anything that could provide a good reason to stick around (except in the event of a miracle).
