SI.com's roundtable of NBA writers don't think the Toronto Raptors have much of a shot at retaining Chris Bosh. But how could Bosh leave the Raptors after being serenaded like this?

Are the Raptors too Eurocentric?

In a playoff-starved town, woeful Raptors could be kings.

The team Toronto is chasing appears to be coming apart at the seams.

The Raptors fall to number 19 in the latest edition of the SB Nation NBA Power Rankings.

If by coming apart at the seams

You mean 9-4 since Noah came back – proving that the NBA is a player’s league, not a coach’s league.

That was sort of written tongue-in-cheek when you consider all the chatter about the Raptors being a different team since someone got in Bosh’s ear at the All-Star break.

Like you said, it’s a player’s league… but to a point. We are all witnesses to the fact that a horrible coach — I’m looking at you Jay Triano — can cost a team games.

I wish Jay and Brian would have it out, and then both get fired.

What happened at allstar break? Who gor in his ear?

Agent? Fellow player? Who knows?

It’s one of those stories making the rounds, and no one in the traditional media really has the balls to break the story (based on what I can tell).

Too Eurocentric

Finally, a media person asks the question obvious to all Raptors fans…

He wrote about the “White Jays” a few years ago. League trend is becoming more white.

I feel as though the Euraptors are just a ploy to get the fandom of an entire continent. Houston successfully grabbed China when they drafted Yao.
