Hey Ray
Any idea where Cory Joseph could be headed next year. I’ve heard about the schools he’s considering but is he leaning towards any specific one right now?

There has been no word of where he’s leaning to yet. I’m thinking that he would end up in one the Big East schools, U Conn or ‘Nova since they breed good guards and in ’Nova’s case they could use him when Reynolds leaves.

It’s interesting because Devoe Joseph has said he hopes his brother comes to Minnesota with him. I read somewhere that Cory becoming a Gopher would mean that Devoe would move back to SG.

Realistically though, isn’t it much better for Devoe to also keep playing PG for his own pro prospects. I know he’s a longshot to make it to the NBA, but in any case, his body and his improving ball handling tell me he’s a PG.

Yes having those added skills make him a better player. I think Devoe is a two guard for sure but the added point skills definitely give him more diversity and could improve his overall pro stock as his college career continues. I wouldn’t expect him to run the point much next season but it would definitely keep him on the floor longer in Tubby’s offense.

As for Cory going to Minnesota, I heard that as well. It would be cool for the two to be on the same team contributing but it would be a little unlikely. I think Cory would want to separate himself from Devoe now and create his own persona as a player at this level.
