The Raptors' resident sweet tooth, Reggie Evans, is expected to make his regular season debut on Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Fans might want to hold off on ordering Chris Bosh USA Basketball jerseys from this summer's world championship team.
Speaking of Bosh, you have to go back 16 years to find a player that averaged at least 24 points and 11 rebounds in a season that didn't at least make it to the second round of the playoffs, according to T.Jose Caldeford's Chris Black.
Get ready for a lack of professional basketball in 2011-12. The proposed Collective Bargaining Agreement, a source familiar with talks said, includes rollbacks that could reduce maximum guaranteed salaries for veterans like Bosh to almost a third of what they would have been eligible for under the current agreement. And the players aren't happy.
SLAM looks at all 24 NBA dunk contests and their winners, as well as a complete all-star players' list by teams.
NBA legend Spud Webb could be judging Raptors rookie DeMar DeRozan in this year's dunk contest.
Antoine Wright is on the fantasy radar thanks to some strong play recently.

Nobody should be surprised with the owner's first offer
Of course it’s going to be a lowball offer. The owners want some serious player concessions and starting with a “ludicrous” contract offer is one way to start, although the risk is that you will alienate the players and the public.
The way the negotiations go will be determined by the union response. I expect a public flat out rejection. But the private counter-offer will determine the pace of the negotiations. If the counter-offer is an upping of player demands, then we’re almost certain to see a strike. If the player’s indicate that they might make a concession or two, the next owner offer will be much, much better and we probably won’t have a strike.
My prediction is that the Bird and the midlevel exceptions will remain intact but the biannual will go. Maximum contract length will be reduced by one year and the last year of any contract is not fully guaranteed. The minimum salaries will rise slightly.

REGGIE
I have had alot of fun ‘imagining’ and making up stuff about Reggie Evans. I mean what’s not to love about a guy who is known for being a Beast – has a heart fo a lion – and the soul of a teddy bear?
These were some of my favorites:
Did you know that Reggie Evans is:
1. A Vegan;
2. Has personally established 12 animal rescue shelters in major urban areas in the USA.
3. Has a Masters degree in Divinty from Oxford University;
4. Helped to overthrow the apartheid government in South Africa;
5. Celebrates Kwanza with Desmond Tutu regularly;
6. Trained Lennox Lewis for several years;
7. Sung baritone with a Choral ensemble at the Sydney Opera House;
8. Tracked down and strangled Osama Bin Laden – but can’t reveal it because of National Security;
9. Helped turn Jamie Foxx from comic – into an action hero;
10. Believes Jazz and Architecture are the same thing – and he is right!
11. Enjoys gardening and pruning in his spare time.
12. Knows the best recipe for ‘Okra’ this side of the Mississippi.
And thats just a dozen of them….

Who is he? Part Italian Jesus, Part Tiger Slayer; Swashbuckling Hero; Freer of Opressed People’s? ..or is he some dude who likes wearing eye make-up and hanging around coconut groves and beaches?
Oh I forgot he is Reggie….

In short, it was a fiction character whose story was inspired by a serie of novels “Pirates of Malysia” of Emilio Salgari.
He was a pirate fighting against the British colonial army. There was a mini serie produced in Bollywood by the Italian television in 1976 which became a huge success all over the world. Apparently not in CA (Never the less Reggie knew about it!!)

For that CBA agreement in 2011
The NFL is also having negotiations that year. It would be quite interesting how these situations unfold.
