Trades I would like to see happen.
Toronto sends POB and Rasho To San Antonio for Matt Boner. I read an article lately that the Spurs are looking for a Rasho type center. Need I say more.
Toronto sends Calderon to Memphis for Rudy Gay and Mike Conley plus what ever other salaries to make it work. Toronto improves on the wing while Memphis gets a true starting PG.
Utah Jazz send Ronnie Brewer for POB and either Sonny Weems (team option) or Rasho (expiring contract). Utah probably buys out POB and Rasho though they might keep Weems.
i dont like your first trade, the second trade would be awsome because rudy is the kind of athletic sf we need 3rd trade is w.e we dont rele get better 2nd trade would def get us over the hump

second one doesn’t happen. there’s no way they mess up gay’s valuation that bad. and calderon isn’t a big enough of an upgrade over conley for them to give up gay LOL.
POB + Marcus B (expiring contracts to a team that badly needs to rebuild)
for
Raja Bell (defensive guard who can score a little and an upgrade on Wright).
Trade Scenarios
This site could use a section dedicated to whatever ridiculous trade scenarios we want to come up with. Like: Turk, Evans, POB for Battier, Ariza and Chuck Hayes.
Or Calderon, Belli and Rasho for Rip Hamilton and Will Bynum.
Yeah, like this one
Toronto sends Hedo, Banks, and Rasho to Cleveland for LeBron James. It works according to the ESPN trade machine so the Raptors should do it! Woo Hooo!!!! We’re getting LeBron James!
re: additions to the team
A big bodied wing player to can offer some resistance against SF that like to play in the post. I’m not crazy about trotting Weems out there when he’s smaller then both Wright and DeRozan.
Agree with McGateway in that a team that’s suffered bigman injuries could probably make good use of Rasho. Paging Portland, paging Portland. They dusted off Juwan Howard and play him 30 plus minutes a game, that’s how desperate they are. If we added Weems or Belineli I wonder if we could pry a supporting piece off their team. Since they have Brandon Roy coming back from injury soon, perhaps the right offer could pry Rudy Fernandez loose? He’s up for an extension at the end of the year anyway, and has been productive in Roy’s absence.
I think we should leave the point guard situation alone for now. I don’t have the patience to bring in a new pg and have them waste a chunk of games familiarizing themselves with the roster. And if we’re going to overpay on a backup, I’d rather it be on a pg then any other spot on the court. After the TJ injury fiasco, I think all Raptor fans know the value of having a backup that can handle starting for a prolonged period.
