The Toronto Raptors have now scored at least 100 points in a franchise-record 13 straight games. They have won 15 of their last 20, and trail Boston by just 4.5 games in the Atlantic Division. Check out the recaps from Pacers blog Indy Cornrows, the Indianapolis Star, Raptors Republic and the Zan Tabak Herald. You can also watch the Game in Six Minutes over at NBA.com.
To watch the game and then to look at the stats, you'd think that the Raptors won by 25, according to Ball Don't Lie's Kelly Dwyer.
Think Indy misses Jarrett Jack? Pacers coach Jim O'Brien has nothing but praise for the Raptors' starting point guard.
Hoops Addict's Ryan McNeill catches up with T.J. Ford.
The Raptors had a great month of January. Amir Johnson (+20 Points Rating -23 Defense Rating) and Marco Bellinelli (+14 Points Rating) were amazing. Jose Calderon (+11 Points Rating), Chris Bosh (+9 Points Rating ) and Antoine Wright (+8 Points Rating) were also solid. Only rookie DeMar DeRozan (-7 Points Rating) struggled.
Looking at the week that was and the week that will be in Raptorland.
Hedo Turkoglu has figured out that Toronto isn’t a one-newspaper, Waffle House backwater like Orlando.

Channing Frye could be named to the 3 point shooting contest and become the first Center to win. Gets me wondering why AB shouldn’t be there? And really couldn’t we have an all “C” 3P contest?
Frye, Bargs, Okur, Matt Boner, Troy Murphy, Ryan Anderson.
That’d be fun.
lol
bargs would win tht would be so funny they should do tht

Amir Now Ranks #1 in Defensive Rating According to Basketballvalue.com
and #44th in 1 year Overall Rating. You have to sort the columns to see the results.
I don’t think those names appearing at the bottom of a defensive rating list is any kind of a surprise (except to the Bargnani apologists who think Bosh should be traded so we can hand the reigns over to Il Mago).

Bargnani is 10 times better than Bosh. Bosh is a scrub who has inflated numbers because he plays on a crappy team. (Look closely, my tongue is firmly planted in my cheek).
Trading Bosh and handing the reigns over to Bargnani has nothing to do with Bargnani being a stud and everything to do with maximizing our return on a player who is 80% gone at the end of the year. You can spin it anyway you want to but as far as anyone has heard, Bosh has not killed the rumors that he is heading south this summer.
McGateway, would you be willing to give me 8-1 odds whether Bosh stays or not? I’m being serious. PM me if you’re interested.
Pnutz, I think McGateway was being sarcastic.
But McG, if you’re that sure he’s going to leave, $100, I’ll even take 7-1. Of course I’d get the $700. Let’s just put it this way, I’m no way as sure as you that he’s leaving. However if you are 80% sure, then let’s make a wager. :) If 7-1 isn’t good, what odds would you be willing to put on it?
Bosh is a scrub? Did I read that correctly? Do you know anything about basketball? Have you ever played basketball without an Xbox or Playstation controller in your hand? That is one of the most asinine comments I have ever heard. Inflated numbers?? 10-15 rebounds is inflated? I didn’t realize it was possible to inflate your rebounds based on the fact that the other team has to miss for you to get a rebound. So I guess any good player on a bad team is a scrub. Please keep your ridiculousness to yourself, no one wants to hear you speak. Thank you.
