Marquee Match Up

7:00pm Virginia Tech vs. St. Bonaventure

Andrew Nicholson has been nothing short of a monster all season and is riding five straight double-doubles into tonight’s game.  He had a career high 44 points in a marathon 60 minutes of action this past Saturday and with this being his last game before the break he, along with the Bonnies, is gonna look to go out with a bang.  Despite all the momentum that St. Bonaventure is riding, Virginia Tech may have something to say about them getting that win.  Tech has played well so far this year and their losses this season have been against teams that have been in the Top 25 at some point this season (except maybe Virginia).  The Bonnies will need to step up huge and Nicholson will need to be extra big in this one for them to pull out the W.  The ACC conference has guys of Nicholson’s caliber on most teams and the Hokies will have a way to deal with him but will Nicholson be able to handle the Hokies?

And here is where everyone else is playing today …

2:00pm North Carolina A&T @ Arizona State

3:05pm Chicago State @ Drake

7:00pm St. Francis (PA) @ Cincinnati

7:30pm Belmont @ Tennessee

8:00pm South Dakota State @ Minnesota – So the story so far this season had been that when Devoe Joseph has scored in double figures, the next game he hasn’t.  Regardless of his inconsistent scoring output, he’s contributed in other areas and looks like he’s just rounding out into mid season form.  But don’t sleep on Mo Walker either.  He’s played pretty well in his very limited minutes primarily giving help on the glass so in a game like this he could provide that and more.

8:05pm UMKC @ Kansas State

9:00pm Saint Mary’s @ New Mexico State – Riding a four game winning streak, New Mexico State will be hosting an always tough Saint Mary’s team.  But behind the quartet of Hernst Laroche, Tyrone Watson, Christian Kabongo and Renaldo Dixon, the Aggies will look to defend their home court with gusto.  Laroche, Kabongo and Watson scored 19, 17 and 10 points respectively while contributing a combined 11 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals in the contest also and are looking to nail down a final win before Christmas.  This should be a great to distract you from late night gift wrapping for sure.

9:30pm Stetson @ Arkansas-Little Rock

10:30pm UC Irvine @ UCLA
