Pietrus

If Mickael Pieturs does not end up earning significant playing time in Phoenix within the next few months, I would love to see the Raptors deal part of their TPE on him.   I would even throw draft pick (highly protected) to get him.

If VC works out alright in Phoenix there will not be a ton of minutes available for Pietrus.  Grant Hill is playing very  well, and Josh Childress is being paid a lot for a long time.

Pietrus is a very good defensive wing, who can hit the 3 ball.  I think he would be a nice fit beside DeRozan.  Pieturs would give Bargnani someboy to kick the ball out of the post to.  Most importantly, I would not have to watch Sonny Weems play defense or Linas Kleiza turn over the ball as often.

Note: Pietrus could not be dealt until 60 days after the Suns acquire him.

trade...

why not trade for Varajao. He has a reasonable contract and a center.
what we need is another center with size and energy.
i do like reggie, but come on, he’s no starter.

also, we need someone like G.Wallace who can rebound and play defense.

-Calderon/Bayless
-Derozan/Weems
-G.Wallace
-Bargnani
-Varajao/Johnson

we probably lose derozan, draft picks, and trade exception but this lineup is made for playoff

Cleveland odes not want to get rid of him, and he just recently told the media that he would like to retire in Cleveland.

I’d take either of these two players as discussed, automatic upgrades. BC had a shot at Pietrus but signed Kapono if you remember…ugh.

he certainly like to be part of Cleveland but i’m sure Cavaliers want to start over after the Lebron circus.
Toronto has the cap relief and draft picks for Cleveland to start fresh.
i know it’s farfetched but i’ll make every effort to acquire Varejao and G.Wallace.

Calderon / Bayless
Martin / Derozan
Battier / Weems
Davis / Dorsey
Johnson / Alabi

Trade Pieces: Wright, Stojakovic, Evans, TPE

With these trade pieces we should be able to get a Center to start, rotating Davis, Dorsey, and Johnson through PF and C rotations as well…

no deal...

this is a huge down grade from this year’s lineup.
I would not be comfortable with this mediocre frontcourt.

Possibility
1. Dont trade Bargnani (rising young star in NBA)
2. Get an energiatic/young center to compliment Barg
3. Use TPE and Stojakovic (expiring contract) to fullest.
4. Get some value for Calderon while he is hot or just keep him

this team has new attitude and mentality. we are about two pieces away from playoff in easy NBA east.
