Watch the Tapes, Read the Articles

After watching the interviews and reading the articles, I definitely like Sean the best, then Jeyan, then Sasha…I really do not like that guy. I feel uncomfortable watching him. Sean is charismatic and writes well at least…if only he made an inappropriate joke like Jeyan would he be the Overwhelmingly clear favourite…still clearly the best candidate though.

I’m a great guy once you get to know me :)

Sasha

Great job on the articles Sasha,
I felt like I was beside the coaches watching the game.
I defiantly could keep reading your stuff, your writing style seems quick, efficient, and gets to the point.

The perfect read.

All honesty I’m more interested in that chick that interviewed tham.

we need a funny guy

because we need someone to lighten the mood of the readers after bargnani screws up or after we lose a game. either jeyan or sasha seem to fit that bill. its a tough choice

Nearly 3 thousand votes in this poll, REALLY? Does this blog even have that many readers? This has shenanigans written all over it.

Glory glory Man United, AND the other MU, AAAAnd the Leafs. I think I need a drink now.

+1 and an irrefutable nod of solemn approval.

jeyan had the best screen chemistry with jayne

what are the responsibilities of the intern supposed to be? are there going to be a lot of video interviews? or is the focus more on the writing?

i thought jeyan had the best onscreen chemistry with jayne. notice at the beginning and the end she reaches out to touch his arm… would this translate to interviews with Raptor players/personnel/staff? dunno but he seemed to make her at ease. though the idea that he might model himself after matt devlin is not inspiring.

he says writing is not his forte. But i think he was being self deprecating; the posted article’s decent enough. nobody in the comments complains about the content or the writing style.

Sasha’s article was pretty good. And he likes Bill Simmons. He seems well read/knowledgeable.

Tough call. It boils down to what content the intern is going to be focused on generating.

all three sound like wicked raptors fans.
however why does jeyan have no comments on his post and like 14,500,000 votes.

hmm, when I last looked in Jeyen had 1% of the vote with a reasonable amount of votes cast (relative to the numbers one usually finds on this site). Now he has 45%. Does this reflect the will of actual Raptors HQ readers?

By the way, I’ve been reading you guys since your first few weeks – three or was it four? redesigns ago.

+1

last time i was here it was a two way race between sean and sasha with sasha in the lead ~600-500 (i think dont quote me). Jeyan had about 1% (4 or 5 votes) and i thought that sasha ahead by 100 votes had more or less ended this competition. Pardon me if my logic is off but i find it unlikely almost 2000 people have voted in the last 6 or 7 hours and that they overwhelming majority voted for jeyan.
Just for the record my vote was for sasha, but i have no affiliation with any of them and just wanted to add evidence to the opinion this poll has probably become meaningless

yeah, thats how i saw it too

Meaningless Poll

Does the poll actually count for anything? I don’t think it should. They know that the contestant’s friends are voting so it just comes down to who can get their friends to vote for them the most, not who’s the best man for the job. I think whoever’s hiring them should decide and take these results with a grain of salt. After looking at who would do the best job, I’m confident Sean will come out on top.

Simon Cowell here...
Jenge voted for Sasha

Reasons:
1. Choice of T-Shirt;
2. Analytic skills;
3. Ability to remain calm, centred and ‘light’.
4. Will probably write best piece when he finally breaks-down due to Raptor related drama/trauma… (it’s inevitable people..)…

My Final thoughts:
With an obviously rigged election, may I appeal to all concerned to not engage in any blood-letting…

by Jenge on Dec 17, 2010 11:49 AM EST reply actions

Rigged Beyond Belief

I hope whoever is in charge realizes Jeyan got over 2000 votes in a span of 8 hours.

I think our Raptors HQ guys are smart enough to pick the right person regardless of an internet poll...

Whether rigged or not (I can’t even type that without scoffing) the articles and the fan reactions give the best indication as to who actual Raptors HQ members prefer.

Welcome to the team Sasha, looking VERY forward to reading your excellent work…
