The NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Dec. 10

Tonight's Marquee Match Up will again an in state rivalry that pits the Cyclones trying to cause a mess in the Hawkeyes' nest.  Find out who else is playing right here ...

Star-divide

Marquee Match Up

8:30pm Iowa State @ Iowa

After starting off the season on a six game winning streak Iowa State would lose two straight games, one to Northern Iowa of all teams, before getting back on track against Southeast Missouri State two nights ago.  In those losses, both Melvin Ejim and Jamie Vanderbeken have played less than stellar.  In the seven wins, Ejim averaged 16 pts and Vanderbeken 11.4 but in the two losses, Ejim averaged 5.5 points while Vanderbeken averaged 5.2.  They both played well in their last game, with Melvin having a double-double (18 pts, 10 rebs) and Jamie having a near double-double (8 pts, 7 rebs).  There seems to be a correlation between the two having good games and winning so against in state foe Iowa they both better come out to play, hard.

And here is where eveyone else is playing tonight ...

6:00pm Central Arkansas vs. Chicago State

7:00pm Western Carolina @ CampbellKeaton Cole has had his playing time increase and he did not waste time throwing up threes.  In his last game, a 67-65 loss to Tennessee-Chattanooga Saturday night, Cole put up 11 threes (which accounted for 33% of the attempts by the team) making four in his way to a season high 17 points.  I would just be interested to see how many he shoots in this game.  Harouna Mutombo has not been scoring as much of late, partly due to less playing time, but he’s been contributing in other areas.  This could be the game that he breaks out for the season.

7:00pm St. Francis (NY) @ Canisius

10:00pm Santa Clara @ San Jose StateMarc Trasolini has been a consistent performer but last game, a game Santa Clara lost to UC Santa Barbara, Traz was held scoreless in 20 minutes of action.  Scoreless!  That came after back-to-back 19 points efforts against Arizona and Ohio.  Look for Traz to step up his game against San Jose State and expect him to be more aggressive offensively.

10:00pm Wyoming @ UC Irvine
