Jay Triano ranks 25th in SB Nation's NBA Coach Power Rankings. Too high? Too low?

Hedo Turkoglu's explanation of the back stiffness that sidelined him Tuesday is unintentional comedy at its highest:
"It happens sometimes when I watch TV in the wrong position, laying on the sofa or couch."
No mention of pizza or Sprite anywhere in that quote.
Unfortunately, no Raptors made SLAM's Muscle Watch 2010.
Believe it or not, Obama knows Chris Bosh.

Triano is going to have to win some games before he moves up the list. If he coaches the current squad to a 35 win season this year, I’d say that is a lot better achievement than the 40-win season last year.
The rankings are definitely not kind to Triano. He’s ranked ahead of four guys with no head coaching experience and Kurt Rambis. And you’d expect Thibodeau to leapfrog ahead of Triano and many others once they start playing the games.

The rankings in general are a bit of a hodge-podge. At the top you have the obvious candidates like Popovich, Jackson and Sloan(although inexplicably to me the author rates Stan van Gundy ahead of Sloan when I would put him down in the 6-10 range). Then you have flavour-of-the-month guys like Spoelstra and Brooks ranked ahead of Larry Brown(1000+ career wins, NBA & NCAA titles). For no obvious reason John Kuester and his one season 27-55 record is ranked several spots ahead of Doug Collins(300+ career wins and a trip to the East Conf. finals). Jay Triano tucks in towards the tail end of the list amongst the other coaches that either have yet to really prove themselves as head coaches or who the other just doesn’t know or doesn’t like. Fair enough, Triano hasn’t really done anything to merit a higher rank(although neither has #18 ranked Lionel Hollins(40-42 last season, 71-114 overall)). Basically, the list is a mix of the obvious, the dubious and the random, but for what it’s worth Triano is probably slotted in correctly for now.

I would say he´s ranked a little low, why else would Basketball USA take him over several higher ranked coaches as an assistant. I think he should be ranked in the mid to late teens since he hasn´t won anything in the NBA but his International credentials are pretty good
