Media Day in Raptorland
Aaaah Media Day.
Perhaps the season officially kicks off in another month still, but for us at the HQ, Media Day each year echoes in the start of a new season.
Later today some of the HQ team will be at the ACC for the festivities and hopefully will have all sorts of goodies to talk about the rest of the week. The usual questions will be bandied about I'm sure ("hey Bryan, how many wins," "hey Bosh, are you sticking around next year?" etc, etc,) and most of the traditional media will have their cameras and tape recorders trained at the team's big names as always.
However that's what's great for us at the HQ; while everyone's busy getting a quote from Bosh, in the past, we've managed to get some solid one-on-one time with the lessor folks and unveiled some very interesting insight going into the season.
So this morning, we thought we'd look to the readers for some additional guidance.
Give us your thoughts in the comment section as to which players you'd like us to spend some time with, and what specific questions you'd like asked.
Want to ask DeRozan what he's worked on the most this off-seaon?
Fire away!
Want to ask Jack what position he'd like to spend most of his time at?
Done.
Or want to ask Marcus Banks how many times he made it rain at clubs this summer?
DO IT.
Throw us your thoughts and later today we'll try to get as many in as possible at this afternoon's session.

I’d be interested in hearing from Amir Johnson. Here’s a young guy in a contract year who appears buried behind veterans like Reggie Evans and Rasho Nesterovic right now… yet he’s shown enough flashes in previous seasons to hint at a possible breakout given the right situation. What’s his mindset going onto the season? What type of role does he expect to play?
Personally, I think Johnson is a guy who could surpass both Evans and Nesterovic as the season goes on.

Reggie Evans
After reading BC’s comments on Evans in Doug Smith’s blog today, I would love to hear Reggie Evan’s answer to the following question:
There has been a obvious dearth of defence, rebounding and general toughness on this club over the last few seasons. What can you (Reggie) do personally to help in that respect, and what can you do to challenge your teammates to address this issue?
DREADLOCKS
Franchise:
My question revolves around dreadlocks…
How long does Bosh want to grow them? Will he encourage Jarret Jack to emulate him?
I got your answer. :) It’ll be up once we sort through everything

evans question
would love to hear specifically what evans has been doing (training and teaching wise) with bargs in his short time here. (if anything).
also, any insight from amir and bellini as to what they’ve been doing in the off season, knowing they have a great opportunity this season to play some major minutes if they step up to the plate.
Questions
- DD: How about just asking if there’s anybody in the league he’d love to dunk on. Hopefully the answer is “everyone”.
- Bosh: How does he feel about the possibility of Hedo having the ball in his hand at the end of games instead of himself.
- Calderon: In the same vein is he comfortable with Hedo having more control over the ball in the offense and him being more of a spot of shooter.
That’s all I can think of off hand.
Franchise and I just got back and it was a pretty good experience. There will be some interesting stories coming out of this media day, but for me, I’d have to say it was a pretty incredible run. Special thanks to the Raptors and Jim for letting us get access in. Oh BTW, those new Hot Dogs (had the Pizza Pizza one) are pretty good and the doughnuts will kill your arteries X.X.

I’d just be interested in hearing how DD is going to approach the season. Where would he best like to utilize his athleticism? If they already have scoring options with the full starting line up is there a concern he will get lost in the shuffle like Joey Graham did thereby stunting his career growth.
