It seems the Houston Rockets and Lakers GM’s have resigned.
Anybody interested should grab those spots while they can.
Really Hope this can be fixed
So I pre-ranked with Blake Griffin as my number 1. I then was sitting there when the draft started. The screen refreshed about five times, then suddenly I had drafted James Harden. No offense but I din’t trade down for James Harden. My pre-rank was clear and I was also in attendance just in case. Not sure if all the other GMS are running into this, but I hope we can find a way to fix this BS…

Jerk – sorry man, I’m super confused here too. It looks like Memphis drafted both players somehow and while I thought I had traded my pick to Sacto, it now looks like the computer autodrafted for me too!

Understand. (I’m thinking I may not be the only one!) Not sure how fucked up the draft became after my pick, but I tried to find a link to PASPN support to see if they could fix things but I can’t find anything. Not sure how to fix this league if it screwed things up for multiple folks… Its sad as I was super-excited with this league. Seemed very cool up to now…
Every time you trade, you have to rerank your picks. I guess you can swap harden for Griffin if LA is ok with it.

The listed order seems weird. Weren’t the clips the actual first pick? Maybe it’s a technicality and things will straighten out afterwards.
It seems like my draft list worked for my first pick.
Redo Attempt
Hey folks – because of the mass confusion we’re trying for a redo here. I’ve emailed the folks who run things to see if we can try this again as I think everyone is having some issues with the complexity of this first go-round.

i dont even see how you select a player to pick. i guess im used to doing user friendly yahoo leagues. I have sanantonio in the league

…from the league but I’ll check later today. Talked to Howland last night and there’s apparently a sneaky autodraft “on and off” part so it would be nice to get another crack at this and have everyone actually draft who they want…

Draft shananigans aside, just curious on people’s opinions of the few moves we’ve seen so far… I didn’t get the trade down for Jeff Foster move by the raps. (I assume this was part of some sort of salary dump?) I liked my own trade up move but not sure if people suspected I paid too high a price or not enough?
Multiple reasons. DeRozan, I thought, would be gone at where I was in the draft since Rubio was likely to get avoided by everyone since he was going to Europe. I also was getting a second low round draft pick and I was getting Foster who will put up some decent numbers. Both Hump and Graham might not play a lick in the upcoming year, so it was a trade that I thought would benefit me in multiple ways.

Thanks, that definitely makes sense. I had forgotten about the Rubio factor. It looks liks DeRozan was untilmately available still, but not sure if some of those picks (inlcuding Rubio) were legit given the issues the system seemed to be having…

Just got to my work email. Looks like I got three emails at exactly 7:15 PM last night from the league. The 1st: Congradulations (sic) on your recent drafting of Blake Grifffin. The 2nd: Congradulations on your recent drafting of James Harden. The 3rd: Congradulations on your recent drafting of Blake Griffin.
Pretty weird stuff!

Saw that. Also saw LA signed Griffin. Still hasnt responded to my griffin for harden trade though. Hope we don’t get too entrenched to fix issues. I did get Griffin’s brother though (moral support for Blake) and he was on my list at 25, so maybe not all the draft was messed!
LA Clips
I’m assuming the Clips have logged in a few times as they’ve finished drafting now. Still no response to the Harden-Griffin trade offer. Let’s go Clips, step it up…
Updates
Just wondering if there have been any updates fom the folks who run the league on the draft mix-ups? A fix would be nice. (I just realized that because the Clips have signed Griffin to a contract now, I’m screwed for that cap space even if a trade does goes through now to try and fix the problem. (I had hoped to hold off and then sign them after free agency in order to max out my cap space on the free agent market…)
