Reggie Evans was dunking and jumping today, but no news on when he’ll be back. He has lateral movement problems still (not surprising considering it’s the arch of his foot for part of the problem). Calderon expected back for the weekend. Thanks to Holly MacKenzie and Ryan McNeil for their feeds

See a pattern here?

Great takes and looks in the paint…no reason for the Raps to be shooting from the outside right now.

the Raps are forcing turnovers, tipping balls, and getting into the paint. Still a few lapses defensively but on a whole pretty solid. They keep this up and it should be a good night.

this is a weird game

neither team is really playing all that well, and we’re down, but strangely I’m not concerned at all. Maybe it’ll turn out to be wrong, but I just don’t feel like the ‘cats can run with us, and I’m just waiting for our run that buries them

Raptors haven’t done that much in 3rd quarters. I actually want to see this team play more close games. It’s either win easy, or lose early for this team so far.

it is a standard too in trading stocks to compare averages (could be statistics) computed in different time periods, that allows to compare a stock (or a team) short term production against itself, like Eric Smith did on that article. Moreover you get the chance to analyze shorter term trends. Of course who you are playing against is a factor, but it influence certain stats more than others In any case good food for thoughts and discussion

by Ustation on Dec 30, 2009 9:40 PM EST up reply actions

so you want Belli running your offence?

by Ustation on Dec 30, 2009 9:42 PM EST up reply actions

no,

I want a real perimeter player that can create their own shot.

don't get me wrong

I like Hedo, just not for this team, and not at that money

by the stylin' assassin on Dec 30, 2009 9:43 PM EST up reply actions

mehh.. this team ain’t better without him.

by Ustation on Dec 30, 2009 9:44 PM EST up reply actions

they ain’t better with him either

by the stylin' assassin on Dec 30, 2009 9:44 PM EST up reply actions

well thats where I disagree… just look at their record vs last year. You telling me that Jack & Bargs are making all the difference from last year?

by Ustation on Dec 30, 2009 9:45 PM EST up reply actions

No O’Neal is making the difference. God that was bad.

sure.. we should have kept the money.. and do what with it?? You really think a “value” player is coming here via FA? We’re always going to have to overpay.

by Ustation on Dec 30, 2009 9:46 PM EST up reply actions

I like your posts, but I hate that argument.

by the stylin' assassin on Dec 30, 2009 9:48 PM EST up reply actions

lol… thanks.. but its true. We’re never going to sign a top notch FA without overpaying.

by Ustation on Dec 30, 2009 9:49 PM EST up reply actions

whether you agree Hedo is top notch or not.

by Ustation on Dec 30, 2009 9:49 PM EST up reply actions

Honestly, you’re right at this point. I was thinking that myself, but just felt dirty for even having the thought. Haha.

I repeat.. re: Belli.

by Ustation on Dec 30, 2009 9:39 PM EST reply actions

Was just thinking the same thing — that’s possibly his first meaningful contribution outside of running off at the mouth about the defensive issues.

it’s funny how Devlin and Armstrong is repeating everything we’re saying here.. They must be reading. :)

OK, seriously...

Belinelli almost gives the ball away there. I think he needs to take a seat beside Mr. O’Bryant for a while.

Watched the gave on Tivo

Just finished watching it. How about giving some credit to Bargs for his involvement in forcing the turnover on Felton. Yeah Wright dove for the loose ball, but there is no turnover if AB can’t stay with Felton. His ability to defend PGs and wing players is a huge asset — makes it much easier to switch on screen-and-rolls.

And then, following it up with the dagger 3 was fantastic. Not sure if that’s the way the play was drawn up, but if it was, equal credit goes to Bargs, Bosh for the pass, Jack for setting up the spacing, and JT for calling the play.

Bosh with the big man triple double

double digits in FGs, FTs and REBs. Great game.

By the way, Ray Felton played the game of his professional life tonight. That guy couldn’t miss.
