NC-Double-Eh Schedule - Dec 21 - 22
With this being the start of the Christmas week, many schools are looking to squeeze in a few games before the break. There will be a lot of Canadian playing in them so check out The Can Ball Report's NC-Double-Eh schedule to find out where and when the Canucks are in action.
As always, the highlighted games are the ones we at The Can Ball Report feel should be given special attention to and as always, support Canadian ballers!
Dec 22
UNC Greensboro @ Richmond
Northeastern @ Saint Mary’s
Western Michigan @ USC
Bucknell @ Notre Dame
George Washington @ East Carolina
St Bonaventure @ Niagara – after Nicholson’s big game against Syracuse, this should be a monster game.
Lafayette @ St Francis (NY) – Jared Mintz hasn’t played in a little while so this should be a "hungry" game where he eats up the opponent.
Maine @ (14) Connecticut – this should be a UConn win, but Burnatowski and Allison have been playing great and this should be a good early test for them.
Mount St Mary’s @ Boston University
Oakland @ (5) Syracuse – Rautins and Joseph both had nice games against St Bonaventure and this should be another stat stuffing game.
Central Michigan @ Detroit
Cal Northridge @ Colorado
Western Carolina @ (24) Clemson – Mutumbo may not be having a super year so far but this game should be good for him. A real test against a top team.
North Dakota @ Iowa State
Central Connecticut State @ Northwestern
Southern-New Orleans @ McNeese State
SIU-Edwardsville @ (4) Purdue
Wagner @ Jackson State
Buffalo @ Green Bay
Central Arkansas @ Western Illinois
Murray State @ Western Kentucky
Texas-Pan American @ Louisiana Tech
Idaho @ Portland
Chicago State @ Eastern Washington
Charleston @ Hawaii

well ...
This is a question everyone seems to want answered so I’ll give you two possible scenarios:
Scenario #1 – Rautins has a great season taking his Orange deep into the NCAA Tournament. He becomes a second round draft pick by an upper level NBA team that needs an outside shooter and makes the team but rides bench for the season before being sent to the NBDL midway through year where he becomes his team’s leading second half scorer at the two spot.
Scenario #2 – Rautins, despite his great year and leading his team deep into March, does not get drafted with the knock on him being that he can’t defend at the NBA level. He has an excellent summer with the Canadian National team at the World Championships which lands a spot playing on a top level Euroleague team where he becomes the third leading scorer on the squad and a possible Rookie of the Year candidate.
Both scenarios are possible and despite any sarcasm Rautins is a legit NBA prospect on his shooting alone (equate him to Matt Carroll). I would think that #2 is the most likely thing happening for him at this point since I don’t feel he’s capable of defending his position at the NBA level (think of him guarding DeRozan one on one) and really there are a whole lot of talented guys that play the wing position coming out every year. Andy best case scenario would be playing over in Europe right now unless he magically gains a killer crossover, an unguardable blow by step and a lot of lateral quickness.
