Raptors Rapid Recap: Toronto 118 – New Jersey 95
- Well, that was different. The Toronto Raptors win 118-95 over the hapless New Jersey Nets in a game that wasn’t even as close as the final score would indicate. At one point,
- The Raptors shot 59 per cent from the floor and had 33 assists on 49 field goals. Seven players scored in double figures, including Marcus Banks – BANKS!!! – shooting 6/7 for 14 points in just over 22 minutes. His lone assist was a gorgeous alley-oop feed to Sonny Weems.
- Weems and DeMar DeRozan put on a dunking display that should earn them some face time on the highlight reels.
- Player of the Game honours go to Amir Johnson. Eighteen points, seven rebounds, two steals, two blocks and an insane +32 in 19 minutes.
- Most painful player to watch? Marco Belinelli. His teammates clearly wanted to help him get going, but he just had nothing… Special mention to Andrea Bargnani as well, who managed to grab one lonely rebound despite spending close to half an hour on the court.
- Let's see how much of this effort carries over to Sunday afternoon's game against Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets.

Nets are one sloppy team
That was a fun game to watch, if you don’t care about NBA-quality basketball.
The Nets looked like they were playing a pre-season game.
Douglas-Roberts still looks pretty good though… he’d be a great 1st off the bench scorer for a real team. How’s Jawai is doing these days?
good game
good game by the raps but whenever toronto play these kinda games they always get there asses kicked

to be fair....
to be fair to belinelli, he did force 3 back to back turnovers and didn’t really take a bad shot, his shots just weren’t falling.
