Big one
Sorry, a bit late here thanks to the TTC – hopefully we see an A+ effort from the Raps tonight – they need this one big time!
Conflicted
I’m Conflicted. I’d like a Raps win but hoping for big games from Butler, Jamison and Arenas…I have Washington in the fantasy tourny

Sloppy game so far
But low scoring partly because of it. Jose’s looked more aggressive but hasn’t been able to capitalize.
BARGS!!!!
why are you so lame sometimes?!?!?!?!?!?!
How’s it going so far?

I kind of like this lineup
Hedo, 2 PGs and 2 PFs.
Does Amir get a steal or an Off. Reb. for that play?
Very good
Amir gets into a bit of foul trouble – otherwise I’d start him at the 5 and have Bargs come off the bench. Just a much better fit between Bosh and Amir.
Also – gotta give Bosh a lot of props. Not many PF’s can miss a lay-up like he did, then bounce right back up and cram it. That’s that off-season work paying off.
Here comes our defensive stopper
Sonny Weems. Second game in a row Jay has done this. I like Gilbert here.
Shaking head
How many times have the Raps screwed up their last play and had the opponent score to beat the buzzer this year?
We really can't afford to have Charlotte become a playoff team...
There’s not enough room for all of us.
Halftime Thoughts
First off, we’re watching 2 very bad teams here.
Second – it’s like looking in the mirror. The Wizards jack up as many bombs as Toronto and as many being “ill-advised.”
Third – Where would this team be without Bosh??? He’s been unreal and he needs a lot more help. Jose’s been good – playing at the level I expect each and every night. Andrea’s been ok too.
But after that…
Hedo? Hello? If you’re not going to defend, you AT LEAST need to put up some points! DeRozan has as many shots as him!
On the Wizards side, Jamison being the glue guy for them. You get the feeling watching this group that they’ve got too many spare parts and need to make a trade. Just no chemistry.
Former Raptors always kill us. Does Jamison count?
I think Jay thought Marco flopped a couple of times trying to draw a foul (instead of busting back and playing some D), and put Marco on the bench for awhile.
Jose was 5-6 in the first half — exactly the numbers I predicted for the 2d half against PHX. I was just a bit late…
If Bargs is bad on D
Turkgolu is terrible at it
Missing Bosh
That last play was a snapshot of what happens if he goes…Bargs and Hedo both outrebounded by Haywood…
Jose and Andrea
How often does Jose pass the ball to Bargs off a screen and roll? Jose usually takes that shot instead of passing to an open Andrea rolling towards the rim.
Raps need some bench performance here...
…or else solid nights by Bosh, Bargs and Jose will be for naught.
On hold in the office right now.
Wassup guys? Any aggression?

Not enough
Some from Bosh of course, and Bargs and Jose bringing it tonight…but nothing from the bench really.
Amir with some nice rebounds in traffic, Jack with a few nice drives…but that’s it.
Boykins has had more of an impact.

Blatche seems to have taken a step or two back this year — though I’m basing that entirely on tonight. Not showing very high BBIQ tonight.
I like our chances here
Despite being tight, this game has felt in control all night. I feel pretty confident.
It will be interesting to see
If we go to the Hack-a-Shaq (or Hack-a-Brendan) once Washington’s in the bonus.
Big man triple double
10 FGs, 10 FTs, 10 REBs. CB4 has a good shot at it tonight.
How’s the 4th starting? Who’s on the court?

Dogfight
Both these teams have similar weaknesses so I think it will be a close fight ot the end.
Terrible foul by Hedo in a tie game.
Thnx.

Think it speaks volumes...
…that Boykins and Haywood were the difference makers down the stretch.
Exact type of gritty guys the Raps don’t have.
Not a great shot chocie by Jack
But man is that ballsy.
Wow
Crazy finish.
Missing FT’s, great play by Amir Johnson.
Leo’s right – hustle plays are going to decide this one.
Stop saying that Leo
He WASN’T huge – he was just on TV a lot so the perception was that he was always making big shots. Statistically he wasn’t even as “clutch” as Bosh or Parker!
Recap
This one’s gonna be fun…I get to explain how Toronto had 3 starts with 20 or more points and yet still lost…
…well…there’s a lot more to it obviously but for a team that couldn’t get consistent offensive production from the starters, to get it and still lose, it’s tough.
Thanks for chatting as always folks, we’ll do it again tomorrow night.
don't be a hero turk
should be the title of your recap. raps need to forget this myth that Turk is a big time shot maker. He’s got some good skills on O, moves the ball and can put up some points on a good night. That’s it. The money we spent for him is sunk cost, move on and he is what he is. Stop relying on him in crunch time.
