TV: The Score at 8:30 pm

After thrashing the New Orleans Hornets to kick off their 3-game Western Conference swing, the Raptors take on the Dallas Mavericks tonight in what promises to be a much tougher test.  The team will need another great performance by Chris Bosh, as well as solid outings from the likes of Bargnani, Turkoglu and Calderon if they want to keep their winning streak alive.

We'll be online as usual to chat during the game so drop by to discuss all things Raps.

Time for some Raptors Action

Just grabbing some food – game tips in about 20 from the Big D.

My fever’s finally gone, but I’m still sore all over. Two days of fighting a fever non-stop will do that…. Other than that, Looking forward to tonight’s game. I think it’s a winnable game for the Raptors.

If you missed it, Eric Smith reporting that Josh Howard will make his return.

A.I. has now taken a leave for “personal reasons” Yeeesh

AI as in Iverson? What the hell? I was just about to try and trade for him in one of my fantasy leagues – good thing I didn’t!

lol. Yup. That iverson fella. Man… Mario Chalmers has been AWESOME for me so far… Did you pick him up?

Those great seasons when you knew the Raptors were special… They would beat those teams that they traditionally had problems with. 10 years is a loooong time. It’s about time for the Raptors to win here.

Definitely not feeling that for Dallas… they should move him to the bench…

sorry to ask one question: On the states have they started to sell televison sets in 16:9? it is frustrating to get HDTV in 4:3…

by renato on Nov 7, 2009 8:42 PM EST reply actions

Well, all new TVs are 16:9, but there’s no requirement other than that it’s a new technology that everyone wants.

Only requirement was to switch to digital signals.

He just looks so much more powerful this year. Usually when you hear of players training in the offseason it’s sort of a “blah, blah, blah” thing…unless you’re talking Jordan, Kobe or Lebron etc.

Not Bosh.

by RaptorsHQ - Franchise on Nov 7, 2009 8:49 PM EST up reply actions

So true. It’s like that joke about “15-20 lbs of muscle” you hear about every player adding… but Bosh has legitimately added it AND it’s elevated his game to a ridiculous level.

Agree...

Beaubois has game. When he started early in the week he looked fantastic.

There’s something historically bad about that… Again, paging Iavaroni — where is the D, dude?

I'm out!

Glad I tuned in for the second half….

Yeah that was immaculate timing.

Well, a few things to close the book:

-Raps have a ways to go, but Dallas is just a much more superiorly talented team. They barely missed an open look in the second half.
-Bargs still needs to be more of a factor inside.
-Monday night should be another good test.

Night all.
