Check out what the LA Times and Clips Nation blog have to say about tonight's contest.

Evans

A very popular player (North American’s sure do love there football players) who can band and rebound. Other than that he is average at best in most other catagories. He can’t shoot either from the field or the free throw line and like Johnson accumulates way to many fouls.

In over 10,000 NBA minutes he has produced 17.4 Win Shares. By comparison Johnson in under 2,000 career NBA minues has produced 6.7 win shares. So in 20% of the minutes Johnson has produced almost 40% as many Win Shares.

In fact in Evans one season with the Raptors he played 1,400 minutes and produced a paltry 2.1 Win Shares, though I will admint that that year the Raptors were just a lousy team.

Evan J. Moon has produced Win Shares at a significantly higher rate than Evans; 10.8 in about 4,350 minutes.

Fans love Evans and it is easy to understand why.

I just hope that when he starts playing this season that he is a lot more productive in contributing to the Raptors overall success than he was in the past with Seattle, Denver, Toronto and Philadelphia
