TV: The Score
This is it folks - the opening match of the 2009-10 NBA Season for the Dinos. Not exactly an easy way to kick things off either.
Our Canadian correspondent, Ray Bala, will kick off tonight's Game-Day Thread, and he'll be joined later by Mr. Defensive Stance and Howland. Franchise will be at the game so will have his thoughts and hopefully some live photos, up tomorrow morning.

First Half
You couldn’t ask for more from this team. Just firing on all cylinders.
The Cavs will make a run in the second half, let’s see if the Raps can keep pushing.
A few observations:
1. The Italian stallions looking just so strong.
2. The Cavs were missing everything.
3. Great team ball by the Raps.

you are not going to see the raps play better ball than that 2nd quarter
now it’s going to be about maintaining energy and fighting, because you know lebron is going to come at you full speed for the next 24 minutes. beginning of 3rd qtr has traditionally made me turn off the tv with this team, wouldn’t it be something if we saw a change on that front as well tonight.

BELLINELLI (aka. the futon)
The folks over at Golden State (of) Mind are watching this game to mostly see Bellinelli perform an epic fail…. but they seem surprised so far …and well, they seem pretty humble about it….
They also like how terrible Clevelands offense is – which means that S.Jax’s trade value is going up…
It’s funny to see other folks watching the Raptors….
It's amazing...

I know it is early
But I was preaching to the choir about this team being severely underestimated. This team is built for success, if they keep improving their team defense (and yes that includes the rebound), then they are going to be surprising someone or someones in the playoffs…
Hey now — let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. This Cavs team is obviously working through some issues right now. Nice that the Raps took advantage and defended their home court, but…

Not trying to get the cart ahead of the horse
There is mondo work to be done, if the players commit to the work on defense and keep improving, by the end of the year this team can make some noise.
Like I've said before
Great chemistry make great teams.
Great win by the Raptors. I’m glad they didn’t cave in after the Cavs tied the game along with the refs giving them the assist in the 4th. That was terrible reffing, but I’ll take the W.
I now feel like a salami and cheese sandwich. :P
Good start
Can’t find much negative in what I saw tonite. with plenty of room for improvement. Deffinately feel we got some cheap calls against us. Well against Shaq and Lebron, guess was expected.
Will accept 5 boards frm Bargs if he scores 28. Bosh was exactly what we need from him, a monster on the glass. He’s definately bigger.
Jose looked like Jose and Jack didn’t look out of place. Hedo’s a smart player and will always find a groove. Think we saw the good BelinellI tonite.
The search for a nickname for DeRozan has ended – gotta be Babyface.
Game ball goes to Triano – good rotations and interesting line-ups were out there. Team withstood the run?was that not shades of last season, with better ending) and defence looked as good as I can remember. Honorable mention – Antoine Wright.
Finally able to get home and watch. Wow. Too many OMG moments from that second quarter. Really impressed by Bosh’s move against Shaq. He really sold the fake with the way he played with his shoulders and how he palmed the ball.
