When I used to have season tickets, I would take a variety of people to the games ranging from hardcore fans/former collegiate players to chicks who know the ball is supposed to go in the hoop. And for the latter, I'd be spending the entire game explaining what was going on, annoying but sometimes you have to make an investment to get a return right?
Anyways, the video rule book is neat and it covers over 100 rules with stuff even seasoned fans can get something out of like: "Post Defender using Knee to dislodge opponent." or the classic hits like "Chris Paul does Discontinued Dribble on the Perimeter" which questions why that isn't called on every drive by every guard?
