Done Deal? - All Signs Point to Colangelo as a Raptor
The ink may not have dried on the contract yet.
But from reports out of both Phoenix and Toronto, it sure sounds like it's not going to be wet much longer.
Step One in wooing the reigning NBA Executive of the Year, Bryan Colangelo, to join the Toronto Raptors was accomplished with last weekend's All-Star break meetings and now it looks like Step Two is complete as Colangelo this morning announced his resignation with the Phoenix Suns.
While Toronto brass is stating that nothing is yet final, Colangelo's resignation in Phoenix paves the way for his acceptance of the GM role here in Toronto which is currently being held on an intrim basis by Wayne Embry.
RaptorsHQ will be monitoring the situation as it unfolds providing updates an analysis throughout the week.

Thumbs up, this is good for our credibility. Historical bad moves aside, he made Phoenix a contenda, and he is experienced. The 'extensive' search didn't materialize, but I guess it didn't need to. I'm excited about this!
