I like the quick start, Embry has the confidence and has been around the team long enough that he is hitting the ground running and knows what he wants to do with personnel. Moving A-train for picks is good mainly because of the flexibility, opening a roster spot for the next trade. I stand by thinking Babcock got shafted, but it is nice to see someone step up and do something - and this isn't going to hurt us at all.

Agree with the other comments...something positive in all aspects. Roster spot opened, room for other trades and most importantly get something for a guy that wasn't adding anything and was going to walk for nothing at the end of the season anyways.
Good first step for Embry! keep the moves comin, maybe Jalen, Williams no.2 and James?....stay tuned

Mixed feelings on this one. It makes sense, and yes, it frees a spot, but I like AW and I don't know why they didn't play him more, seeing as how we don't have a starting centre. At least with him we had a backup one. I guess we won't know if this is a positive step until we see with what Embry fills that vacant roster spot.

Williams was never going to play here, so this is all positive in my books. He seemed to have slowed down too much to be an efficient under-sized centre.

Perhaps if we purge ourselves of the leftovers from the Carter trade, we can just forget it ever happened (hopefully Graham - and whatever pick comes next - does enough to make it more than a superstar-for-nothing deal that is Babcock's legacy).

With the make-up of this team, A Williams was worthless to us. Anything we get for him is a bonus. Good trade I say.

I woulda really liked to see the A-train play like he used to play in T O but I guess we'll never know what coulda been. Since he's going to NO and the dismisal of The birdman I guarantee you his stats will go up and alot more PT.
