DMARSH DONE.
Well, we all knew this was coming but now it is all but official. Donyell Marshall has left TO (at least he was professional while here) and is now the newest member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs continue to add weapons in order to show King James they are committed to winning.
RaptorsHQ would like to say thanks to D Marsh for being the consumate profesional (never complaining about coming off the bench) and for putting on one of the best performances the ACC has ever seen on March 13th of this past year. On that night Marshall drained an NBA record tieing 12 three pointers in the Raptors win over the 76ers, going 12 for 19 from behind the arc.
Thanks D Marsh, you were not part of the blueprint here but we wish you the best with the Cavs.

Rob Babcock explaining one of the reasons why the Raps didn't trade Marshall at the trade deadline:
"As well, what people don't understand is that at that point in the season, we were still in the playoff race."
What playoff race was that? The race to lose in the first round to Miami. What tremendous long term vision the man has.

From what I read during the season it did not sound like any teams were offerign anything of substance for Marshall; it was all players with longer contracts that were not worth it. No sense in making a trade for trades sake, if your return is Malik Rose better off to keep the cap room for the future.
As for the playoff race comment made by Carlos (one of my all time favorite Raps) - could not agree more.
